Wayside Community Centre has a long history driven by passionate people.
Born from a perceived deficiency in standard of community care services available and the lack of services sensitive to requirements of ethnic minorities recovering from crisis/illnesses, the organisation concentrates its work in the London Borough of Hackney.
The objects of the organisation are:
To relieve persons in Hackney and the surrounding areas who are elderly; or disabled or who are suffering from poverty, sickness and distress.
To provide or assist in the provision of a centre containing facilities for the recreation and other leisure-time occupation for the inhabitants of Hackney and the surrounding areas with the object of improving their conditions of life.
